I've never heard of a casino requiring an odds bet (edit: yes I think minimum odds bets are a thing but I'm not aware of where the differences are). It doesn't really have an impact so maybe more of a felt difference than a rule difference. There is also the rule of "bar 12" on the don't pass/come where a 12 on the comeout roll is a push. I think that is a property/chain decision. Don't recall the rule in PA when I played there a few months ago.įor field bets some casinos pay 3x on a 12 vs 2x. In Vegas it is on wins only and in NJ it is up front (though Borgata which is MGM doesn't take the vig up front). Aside from the size of the table or crapless, the main rule difference I'm aware of is buy bets taking the vig up front or on wins only.
